UPMSP Improvement & Scrutiny Overview

UPMSP provides High School and Intermediate students the opportunity to appear in improvement examinations for one or two subjects. Scrutiny involves complete re-totalling and verification of unevaluated answers across regional offices in Meerut, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur.

Thousands of students appear for these exams to improve their overall division or clear a single back paper. The revised scorecard reflects whether the student’s marks increased, decreased, or remained unchanged following the evaluation by senior head examiners.

Steps to Check UP Board Improvement Result Online

  1. Visit upmsp.edu.in.
  2. Scroll to the “Important Information and Downloads” section.
  3. Click on “High School (Class 10) / Intermediate (Class 12) Improvement / Compartment Result 2026”.
  4. Select your district and enter your 7-digit Roll Number and security captcha.
  5. Click View Result to download your revised marksheet.
Important Score Preservation Rule: Under UPMSP Examination By-laws, if a candidate’s marks in the improvement examination are lower than their main examination score, the board preserves the original higher marks so the candidate is never penalized for attempting improvement.

What to Do After Receiving Revised UP Board Improvement Marksheet

Once you access your provisional improvement score online, adhere to the following procedural steps:

  • Download and Print Provisional Slip: Retain at least 3 printouts of the web marksheet displaying your updated theory and practical breakdown.
  • Surrender Old Marksheet: To obtain the original revised marksheet and passing certificate, you must surrender your previous original marksheet to your school principal or DIOS office.
  • Update College / Polytechnic Admissions: If your admission into Class 11, Diploma engineering, or Degree courses was provisional pending improvement, submit the digitally verified statement immediately to regularize your admission.

Q1: Does the improvement marksheet replace the original UP Board marksheet?
Yes. The higher score attained between the main exam and the improvement exam is retained on the final revised certificate.

Q2: Where do I collect the revised physical marksheet?
UPMSP sends the updated certificate to your affiliated school within 3 to 4 weeks after the online result is posted.

Q3: What if my marks decreased in the UP Board improvement exam?
As per UPMSP rules, your higher score is preserved. You will not lose your original marks.

Q4: Is there an option for further scrutiny if I am still unsatisfied?
No. The improvement and compartment result is considered final. No further scrutiny or RTI re-evaluation is permissible on improvement answer scripts.
